The Language Research Institute at Sejong University was founded for theoretical and practical research on various modes of language usage and to provide a forum to discussions on the nature of language. In order to accomplish this goal, the Institute undertakes the following functions:
1. Publication of Journal of Universal Language

2. Holding Seminars
To offer a chance for the exchange of ideas between researchers of various viewpoints, we occasionally hold seminars on language related areas ranging from linguistics, artificial language, communication & culture in language usage, typology, and universality in language.
3. Exchange Programme
We contract with other scholars and academic societies inside and outside of Korea and exchange databases and academic resources.
